GB �Rinse Hold� button � The laundry remains in the last rinse water without progressing to the final spin cycle to avoid creasing and prevent colours from changing. � This option is particularly recommended for the programme �Synthetics� or �Delicates�. � This function is particularly useful if you want to postpone spinning to a later time. Note: The programme stops to �Rinse Hold� at the time the �Rinse Hold� button light flashes. Terminate the �Rinse Hold� option: � Press the �Rinse Hold� button again; the programme will terminate automatically with the final spin cycle for the present wash programme. � If you do not wish to spin the clothes, turn the programme selector knob to the drain programme and press the �Start/Pause� button again. �Spin Speed Reduction� button � Every programme has an automatic predefined maximum spin speed. � Press the button to set another spin speed. � If the spin speed �0� is selected, the final spinning is cancelled. The water is drained out only.

Prewash cycle increases programme duration by approximately 15 min. Consumption values were measured in normalized conditions in compliance with Standard IEC 60 456. The data on the �Energy Label� refer to programme �Coloured Cotton 60 °C�. Consumption data in the home may vary with respect to the values in the table in relation to the water supply pressure and temperature, the load and the type of wash. * The remaining time indicator can similarly deviate from the values in the table, because it takes into account the household conditions applicable at that time. ** To reduce the water temperature, some cold water is added at the end of the main wash cycle, before the pump drains the water out.

PROGRAMME START
Open the tap and press the �Start/Pause� button. The pilot lamp of the �Start/Pause� button lights up. The indicator lamps show the sequence reached in the programme. After starting the programme, the sequence indication runs from left to right through Wash, Rinse, Spin. When the sequence of the programme is finished the corresponding lamp goes out.

ADD DETERGENT, CLOSE THE DOOR AND SELECT THE PROGRAMME
Add the detergent as described in the chapter �Detergent and Additives� in the booklet. 1. Turn the programme selector knob to the desired programme and temperature. � The remaining time display shows the duration of the chosen programme (in hours and minutes) and the pilot lamp of the �Start/Pause� button is flashing. 2. The programme sequence and the predefined spin speed indication corresponding to the selected programme lights up.

DOOR LOCK
During the first 15 minutes of the cotton and synthetics programmes the door can be opened for adding further laundry. This is not possible if �Rapid Wash� is selected. The door can be opened when the �Door Free� indication is shining.

PROGRAMME END
� 1. 2. 3. The remaining time is on �0:00� and all the lights of the programme sequence indication are off. A short audible tone sounds three times. Turn the programme selector to the � � position. Turn the water supply tap off. Open the door and unload the machine.

PRESS ANY DESIRED OPTION BUTTON(S). The pilot lamp lights up.
An audible tone sounds if the combination of programme, additional options and temperature is not possible. Unsuitable combinations of options are deselected automatically. �Eco Wash� button � The duration of the wash is extended and the temperature reduced to save up to 40% of energy maintaining good washing results. �Rapid Wash� button � For quick, economical washes. Ideal for minimum loads of lightly-soiled articles. �Prewash� button � Only for heavily soiled loads (for example sand, granular dirt) sensible. The cycle time increases by approximately 15 min. �Intensive Rinse� button � A further rinse cycle is added. � This option is particularly suitable for areas with very soft water washing baby linen and helps people with allergies.

CHANGE THE PROGRAMME AND OPTIONS AFTER PROGRAMME START
1. 2. 3. Press the �Start/Pause� button to pause the programme. The light flashes. Select the new programme, any options and another spin speed if you want it. Press the �Start/Pause� button again. The new programme continues at the same position where the previous programme was interrupted. Do not add detergent for this programme. Press the �Start/Pause� button to pause the programme. The light flashes. Set the programme selector to �Drain�. The spin indicators show �0� and the remaining time shows 2 minutes. Press the �Start/Pause� button to start the drain programme.
